I never did share this on Artstation, so here it is - a turnaround of Greg from Over the Garden Wall.

In this video I go through the final pieces of the puzzle in Mari, creating channels for your textures and exporting finished ones using the Export Manager. That really covers it all and brings the series to an end. Hopefully you now have a good enough knowledge of Mari to start creating your own kick-ass textures :D
Join me in Part 8 for a live stream where we texture a basic asset from start to finish. Best way to hear when it's going to happen is hit the bell button & follow on insta - I'll announce it a bit in advance.

In Part 3 of this hard surface asset texturing series I texture the camera in Mari. In this video I go through the process of texturing this model in Mari going through how I approach assets in the software and how I got the result you can see in the final render. You can get the model for free on Gumroad below, and also you can get all the source files, textures and unnarrated videos start to finish there too if you want a more indepth look at how I went about texturing this camera.

In Part 2 of this hard surface asset texturing series I texture the camera in Substance. In this video I go through the process of texturing this model in Substance Painter going through how I approach assets in the software and how you can use Substance Designer to aid you. You can get the model for free on Gumroad below, and also you can get all the source files, textures and unedited videos start to finish there too if you want a more indepth look at how I went about texturing this camera.
Part 1 of this new series focuses on the creation of proper UVs in Maya to use for texturing. UVs are often overlooked or rushed by people by that makes a texturer's job much harder than it needs to be. Good, clean UVs are the best :)

Arnold, Arnie, A-dawg. It's time to learn how to hook up the textures we created in the previous video into a shader in the Hypergraph. In this video I go through everything you need to know to get your textures into Maya's Arnold and rendered, the tips and tricks that can catch you out and how to do some basic lookdev inside you shaders.

Following on from the ZBrush sculpting of these fish in my last video I decided to do a quick 2 day texture and lookdev. Using Mari I got some okay results given the timeframe and recorded the whole process along the way. Rather than explain every node I use I will explain my general process of what I'm doing. If you do have any specific questions leave them in the comments!
This video is that sped up footage with me talking over it explaining what I'm doing, my process and more. While I touch on the Arnold side of the lookdev I am thinking of doing a separate video setting up a lookdev and render scene from scratch for these guys. Let me know if that would be of some use!
