Detective Pikachu - Torterra Large Modelling / Texturing

A very dark and hazy look at my biggest contribution to the Detective Pikachu film while working at MPC London.
This was a tough asset, huge in scale. I was responsible for modelling and texturing all the creature's body parts and under shell, while the upper mantle was created by the environments team.
It was sculpted in Zbrush and textured with a workflow using both Substance and Mari, due to the 60+ 8K UDIMs that needed rock and grass texture, mixing procedural and hand painted. It really was a giant build and it's a shame in the final thing you don't quite get to see the detail that went into but it's a cool sequence in the film and made my childhood being able to work on a Pokemon film.
